StratosCampus App

Two Stratos phones showing campus events and student conversations

DESIGN QUESTION

How do you design an app that makes it easier for design school students to connect and interact with each other, around events and shared moments? In an environment where everyone knows each other without really knowing each other, social bonds do not form on their own. Existing tools are not built for this. Something specific, situated and community-driven had to be designed.

Swipe to join

Like dating apps, a swipe system lets students join or skip events proposed by the community. You decide in one gesture.

Event groups

If you swipe yes, you automatically join a group chat with the other attendees. The social bond starts before the event.

Create and manage events

Any student can create an event, invite attendees and track confirmations in real time. From a spontaneous evening to an organized collective project.

Built for Strate

A concept designed for the Stratos community, unique to students at Strate School of Design.

DESIGN SYSTEM PROPOSAL

The project designs a mobile app allowing Strate students to connect around events. A swipe system lets students join or skip events proposed by the community. If you swipe yes, you automatically join a group chat with the other attendees, creating a social bond before the event even happens. Any student can create an event, manage it and track confirmations in real time.
